exploring the boundaries of performance through connection and intimacy
Queer Southern Creative
After growing up in the Deep South, where his love of engineering, marketing, and storytelling first developed, Ty made his way to Atlanta to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech. While there, Ty was an active member of DramaTech Theatre and used the space to express himself to grow as a performer. After graduating summa cum laude, Ty decided to become an apprentice at Georgia Ensemble Theatre to pursue his dream of performing even further. He then spent a few years in New York City, graduated from Atlantic Acting School, and joined the faculty at that conservatory for some years to teach Website Design & Digital Branding for Creatives. It was in New York where they learned to unleash their full creative potential as a playwright and producer of bold queer works. He is also the creator and festival director for Lavender Fest, one of the few queer performing arts festivals in the United States.

"Autry’s writing and performance are complex, well-developed and deeply funny, never supplying easy answers or two-dimensional outrage."
- Theatre Travels
"Autry is phenomenal… he never falters and pierces the audience with an intense look, as if he is really seeing you."

A SOUTHERN FAIRYTALE
Based on true events, A Southern Fairytale artfully illuminates the challenges facing a young, gay Christian growing up in the Deep South through the eyes of Alex Belmont. As we accompany the protagonist through multiple journeys into and out of the closet, the audience is brought on a journey where we explore the very real impacts of conversion therapy, excommunication, all while trying to find one’s Prince Charming
AT BIRTH
What could possibly go wrong when one drunken night Anna, very gay, and Isaac, very very gay, have sex to heal from a breakup? What follows is a journey covering themes of queer families, abortion rights in the South, and the pursuit of building community, no matter how untypical. This queer dark comedy navigates blurred family lines, friendship, and dealing with the unexpected consequences life can throw at a person.
TO ALL THE GOOD BOYS
Peter desires to have it all and Liam wants to have the perfect good boy. After a night out with friends, their perspectives of perfect collide head-on as they fight for each other and themselves. Being trapped in one's own head can be the journey of a lifetime.
LILY
Lily is on a mission to spread equality and justice in small-town Georgia, but her hope to bring a boyfriend home from Atlanta always causes drama. In this conservative Christian town, breeders aren't always welcome, but at least her moms give it their best shot.
Set in a parallel universe, we eavesdrop on a conservative queer family as they grapple with ideas of progress that don't fit into their Christian view of the world. With every passing election cycle and religious freedom bill, Lily's family ties are tested with southern sass and class.
