A new era of social media marketing is upon us and it is not just limited to businesses. All Snapchat users, businesses and individuals can now jump onboard and create their own unique Snapchat filter, how much area they want to cover, and for how long.
Sponsored Snapchat filters are not a new thing. We have all seen them before over the past year. From the Taco Bell filter, Valentine’s Day filter sponsored by Tinder, and New Year filters for the special holiday celebrating the turn of another year. But, this is the first time the company is rolling it out to anyone to who submits a design, selects the area, and can pay for the service (which can range from $5 and up depending on the area selected and timeframe).
This new service is called On-Demand Geofilters and is already active in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. The uses for this new service can range from birthday parties, private events, business sponsored events, weddings, and everything in between.
